What type of memory card used by the HTC EVO

Until the summer of 2011 there were two types of smart phones available from HTC EVO , 4G and 3D . The former has higher speeds loading and unloading , while the second video capture and playback and 3D images . Both phones have the same card slot , which makes the capacity , speed and compatibility options of its expandable memory are identical.

Card Type

Both EVO phones include a microSD card slot . The microSD cards are a form of removable data storage that can store files and applications. The cards have 1 mm thick x 11 mm wide x 15 mm high , and used like flash memory technology which is in USB storage drives . This technology allows users to transfer data from your EVO to any other device that contains a slot for microSD cards .

capacity

Although HTC refers to the slots as " microSD " slots are technically microSDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity - High Capacity Secure Digital) , also known as microSD 2.0. According to the SD Association , normal microSD cards can only store up to 2 GB of data. In contrast , the microSDHC cards present in both versions of EVO can store up to 32 GB.

speed

The microSDHC cards are available in four different categories of speed : class 2 , 4, 6 and 10. The speed class determines which types of images the card is fast enough to record without errors. Class 2 is for standard definition video , while classes 4 and 6 can handle HD video . Class 10 is designed to capture video images and high definition .

compatibility

EVO card slots are compatible with previous versions. This means you can use microSD 1.0 and 2.0 microSD cards . Users who intend to use a microSD card to transfer data from your EVO to another device must verify whether or not the device supports the 2.0 standard. If not supported, should wear a 1.0 on your EVO if you want to transfer your data.
